"The strong man is mightiest alone" – This proverb was true in ancient times. However, in today’s world of mechanical engineering, which is based on the principle of the division of labour, specialisation is required to accomplish the extremely complex tasks. The Schmersal Group therefore has successfully specialized in the design, development and construction of industrial safety switching appliances. In this field, we are one of the leaders on the world market for many years already.

We provide our customers with very intensive consultancy when they need to select the appropriate safety switchgear for their applications. From the customers’ point of view, this is just one – however very important – service in the field of machine safety. It undoubtedly speaks up for our competency that we are often asked to assume further tasks such as providing assistance with the conformity assessment for obtaining the CE Conformity Mark or providing consultancy for the safety-compliant design of machinery.

Out of neutrality grounds and due to the required concentration onto our core competencies, we have declined this kind of requests until now. As we nevertheless want to provide you with the required support, we have initiated the establishment of a network of competent engineering companies, which have a comprehensive knowhow in de field of machine safety.
